Solari Isle

Solari Isle is 435 miles from East to West and about 150 miles from North to South. It is home to two of the largest cities in the Southern Hemisphere: Solari City on the Northern Coast, and Daystar located along the Southern Coast. Many adventurers in the Southern Hemisphere find themselves coming to island either to join the Adventuring Guild, the military, or a Treasure Hunters/Thieves Guild to venture out to the nearby Peninsula of Fabled Treasures. The island itself is full of treasures and in The Curse of the Chronolord campaign, has 5 treasure hunt side quests: On the Gulf of Iridensa there are Spirit Naga guarding a magical staff (because of this the coast is riddled with bandit camps that have treasure of all sorts that has been picked up and being traded on a bustling Black Market), in Lake Iridensa lives a Giant Gar Fish that guards another powerful staff in his underwater cave, a treasure off the coast of Shark Fin Tip that still has to be written, Will o Wisps guarding 2 treasures in The Ruins of Nylenor, and a coven of Storm Hags deep in the Mangrove Forest hiding a trove of treasure. The Storm Hags have been causing storms both in the estuary on land (to dissuade local boaters or adventrers from entering) and along The Radiant Coast (to shipwreck sailors to add to their treasure trove). There are also 9 caves on the island that contain various encounters and treasure. There are a total of 18 villages across the island, usually in the form of a small settlement or village. They are: Stockport, at the tip of the Shimmering Point (Northern Point of Gulf of Iridensa), with the closest cave being Firebranch Hollow, which is home to a Fire Elemental. Boulderbanks (20mi South of Firebranch Hollow), which is nearby the Howling Goblin Alehouse, Overlook Village (5mi from Copper Canyon, overlooks canyon and gulf), Mosspoint Cove (last village before The Bandit Strait), Eastcrest (8mi east of Daystar), Great White Refuge (on Shark Fin Tip), The Far Outpost (South of Solari City,on Northern Coast of Lake Iridensa), Moradin's Light (15mi South of Solari City Gate, right past northern tip of Lake Iridensa), Iridensa Village (water village on stilts on the lake), Karna's Rest (Southern tip of Lake Iridensa, bordering Desert of Unrest). There are four deserts on the island: The Arid Wilds, The Thundering Barrens, The Rolling Dunes, and The Desert of Unrest. The Rolling Dunes is under some kind of spell, curse, or supernatural effect. The dunes move and change with no cause. Chronomancers gather the sands from this stretch of desert to be used as the "Sands of Time" component in Chronomancy spells. There is a Mangrove Forest in the Tisfell Estuary and Cactus Forest east of Copper Canyon and west of Gulf of Iridensa. There are to two lakes, four rivers, and one estuary: Lake Iridensa becomes Iridensa River becomes Tisfell Estuary; Sunspring Lagoon becomes The Sandy Streams becomes The Tisfell Estuary. The estuary and mangrove forest sits along roughly 100 miles of coastline known as The Radiant Coast. The River Tiverna is along the Southwest tip of the island and The Rolling Arroyo in between the Rolling Dunes and Desert of Unrest, but this frequently dries up and its course has been rumored to shift due to its proximity to The Dunes.

Climate

Dry and arid. The island is a desert and has a couple of rivers, as well as an estuary that leads up to the mangrove forest.

Fauna & Flora

There is a cactus forest on the South side of the Gulf of Iridensa, and a Mangrove forest along the Radiant Coast
