Personal history
Althaea Galanodel was born in a small elven village in an upper-class region of Elaria, and was always captivated by the natural world, as well as the fey forests surrounding the area. The Galanodels were the stereotypical pretentious and conceited aristocrats, for which Althaea grew a distaste. At age 18, Althaea moved east, landing in Cambeth. There she met Ivellius Ilphelkiir, a member of a druid circle based in Mielikki's playground. The two became enthralled with one another, and soon Ilphelkiir's spending time with Galanodel led to him being kicked out of the druid circle.
The two moved into a small house in Cambeth, making money off of hunting and other nature-related freelance work. The two aided in the defense against the Malrithian invasion of 475 AP, before actually joining the Protectors in 477. Althaea and Ivellius, specializing in threats of the natural world, remained loyal Protectors, until becoming part of the Underground in 518.
Althaea met the Core Four (other than Aleesia Nailo) in 543 AP, after the Magician called a tidal wave upon the town. She aided the Four in escaping an orc tribe in the forests, and later returning to Cambeth and saving Protectors slated to be hanged. Althaea and Ivellius continued to aid with important Protectors missions, also getting married on December 12th, 543.
Althaea and Ivellius were both transported into the Reagarrian arena in 544, remaining there for 1 year until they broke out with the help of the Core Four. Before trying to assassinate the tyrant of Reagarr, she was stabbed by a magically enhanced blade that left her unconscious before returning to Cambeth and being healed by Mildrak Brawnavil. She fought alongside the remaining elite, saving the world from the threat of the Magician. Althaea became the leader of the Hunters Division of the Protectors, as well as serving as the second-in-command to Aleesia Nailo, the new head. She would also become the temporary leader of the Protectors in 568 while Aleesia was occupied with Operation: Otherworlds.
Just after her time as leader, Althaea gave birth to her and Ivellius's daughter, Crielle Ilphelkiir. In 563, just one year after Crielle's birth, Ivellius Ilphelkiir mysteriously went missing, a situation that the Protectors do not reveal details about. Althaea continued to run the Hunters Division, and Crielle went on to become the most sophisticated of them, often filling in as leader if Althaea is busy.

Althaea spent the first 18 years of her life in Elaria and was inquisitive about all things nature, so Althaea's education level is higher than most.
