Spellcasters
Witches, Wizards, Warlocks, and Sorcerers, are loose ranks within the powerful group of magic- and spell-wielding humans known as Spellcasters. Like the Fae, Spellcasters are born into magic. Unlike the Fae, a Spellcaster’s magicks is learned and not innate. The Legends of King Authur Pendragon by Geoffrey of Monmouth document one of the most famous and powerful Sorcerers, Merlin, or Merlinus Caledonensis. Throughout different points in history, Spellcasters (and those falsely accused of witchcraft) have been persecuted and killed (e.g. Hypatia, the Chelmsford Witches, and the Salem Witch Trials.) Regardless, Spellcasters have persevered, drawing from promising human-sensitive practitioners of Wiccan and Paganism to fill their ranks.
It is estimated that 50,000 to 200,000 people died throughout history because they were a victim of a witch hunt and trial.— Source Their learned magicks are a combination of willful acts of the mind, short spells, or lengthy incantations. Unlike the Harry Potter series, a Spellcaster does not need a wand to perform magicks, though many adopted the practice to blend in with popular culture. Some simply did so because they thought it was cool. Although one advanced Spellcaster is powerful on his or her own, there is strength in numbers for spells and incantations, along with an inherent power bonus based on the number of participating Spellcasters. Spellcasters aggressively police themselves, seeking out and punishing (or eliminating) members who practice maleficium, or magical acts performed with the intention of causing damage or injury to avoid drawing unwanted public attention to themselves. Occasionally, Spellcasters have been known to seek out the Fae when a bad situation warrants a more powerful or swift remedy. The Spellcasters do not have a supernatural arch-enemy, but they despite Christianity.

Mordekhai FarrowRelation to Lucifer Morningstar
Lucifer was a mighty, perfect angel created by the Christian God who became prideful and thusly corrupt, desiring the honor and glory reserved for the Christian God alone. Thus, the Christian God cast him and his followers out of heaven. With his heart and soul filled with hatred for the Creator, he became the diametric opposite of all that is good and holy, seeking to destroy whatever everything the Creator made. His followers became his earthly foot soldiers—a complete, supernatural military from Hell ready to divide and conquer the earth. Originally, Spellcasters were fallen angels who shed their immortal essence and became extra-ordinary human sensitives who desired to live and die among humans. Lucifer perceived this as a betrayal and thusly punished them by imbuing them with a thirst for innate, powerful magicks that could be passed on from generation to generation via procreation.Additional Information
