Sinjir Trello, 23. A young Belter born to a single mother who worked as a bartender on Tycho Station . One fateful night 24 years ago, Sinjir’s mother had a patron who was the of Aquilo Mining – one of the more prominent earth mining companies – currently on contract out of Tycho to mine some local asteroids for their ore, before sending the resources off to Earth (at massive personal profits of course). The young man was taken by Sinjir’s mother’s lithe Belter form and spent the night with her. Unfortunately for all involved, she quickly realized she was pregnant. Not willing to deal with the outcomes of an affair (not to mention the expenses occurred with low-G births and the lifelong nutrient supplementation the belter child would need), the man quickly cut all ties with Sinjir’s mother and refused to assist in any way possible. Sinjir’s mother never fully recovered from the toll a low-G pregnancy can have and passed away prematurely when Sinjir was only 15. On her deathbed she told Shinjir all she knew about the man who was his father, which wasn't much - just his general description and that he worked for Aquilo Mining. That and the fact that that the man refused to help out with the pregnancy or raising Sinjir.
Sinjir needed to learn more about this man who left his mother to die. Already ostracized from “high society” as a Belter, Sinjir embraced the vigilante justice that was so rampant in his home world in the Belt. After a lead took him to Ceres station, the largest rock in the Belt and its de facto capital, Sinjir made some connections with Black Sky OPA members, and quickly found out he was adept at hacking. Happy to help a fellow Belter with a vendetta against an Earther, Black Sky readily let him join and gave Sinjir access to more advanced computing software. Sinjir was able to expose some unsafe work practices that his father was committing, forcing him to sell his old company at a loss to avoid jail time. Unfortunately, the man escaped true justice and (rumor has it) has simply started up some more predatory practices out among the moons of Jupiter, this time without having to answer to Earther laws.
Sinjir is determined to discover where his father has moved to and confront him. He would best be described as chaotic neutral character whose vision for vigilante justice is targeted at the rich and to help those less fortunate. Through his work, he has established a connection with hackers throughout the belt and outer planets with a similar ethos to him. He is driven to protect the less fortunate, and he isn’t afraid to let others know his beliefs or when he disagrees with what they’re doing. While limited in the field of battle (though through growing up in the belt he does know how to use a small handgun), his technical prowess is second to none.
