Captain's Ready Room
The Captain's Ready Room is a conference room aboard The Ganymede with secure access to the Quantum Communications Network.
The room is one of the largest private rooms aboard the Ganymede. It is of a rich, luxury design with comfortable furniture befitting General Diana Villiers.
Design
The captain's ready room is a spacious room with a high ceiling. The walls and floors are made of luxurious dark resin made to imitate wood, while the ceiling is painted a deep blue. The room is furnished with comfortable furniture, including a large desk and several chairs. There is also a small table in the corner of the room, where the captain can relax and enjoy a meal or read.
Entries
The room is accessed by a secure door that requires an electronic keycard to open. The door is made of reinforced steel and has a biometric scanner that must be passed before entry is granted. Once inside, the room is quite spacious and there are no other entrances or exits.
Sensory & Appearance
The captain's ready room is a luxurious room that is perfect for relaxation. The ceiling is painted a deep, dark blue, while the walls and floors are made of luxurious dark resin made to imitate wood with gilding in the corners. The room is furnished with wood imitation furniture, with gilded edging which is smooth to the touch, and soft padding. Though the room is soundproofed, it is still possible to hear the faint humming of the ship's engines underfoot, while a Quantum Radio offers relief from the silence. The room is air-conditioned with a dedicated Co2 scrubber, and the smell is fresh, and often scented with Library Scents. A gentle warmth rises from the Gravity Coils underfoot, though there is a dedicated thermostat to regulate temperature, which General Villiers keeps at a cool 21 degrees celsius.
The lighting is provided by soft Daylites in the ceiling and the walls, as well as scattered lamps.
Denizens
The room is occupied by General Diana Villiers and a Cleaning Droid hidden in a compartment from which they are released on a timer and returned to once their duties are complete.
