Perdition Sand Gatherers
Perdition Sand Gatherers are a type of miner that extracts Perdition Sand from the cavernous tunnels of Perdition Gates. This is considered an incredibly dangerous occupation, because these tunnels were once believed to serve as a route for the living to access Perdition. Perdition Sand is only mined in Raskvaeric.
Roles
The roles of Sand Gatherers are similar to those of in more traditional mining occupations. These include:- Hewers: The people who hew stones with pixaxes.
- Shovelers: The people who shovel the broken shards of rock into the wheelbarrows or carts.
- Haulers: The people who transport the rock shards and sand in carts up to the surface.
- Beams-men: The people who make and instal timber beams in areas where the tunnels are not thought to be structurally sound.
- Look-Outs: The people specifically charged with patrolling and monitoring the cavernous networks for signs of anyone or anything trying to get in - or out. These people are always armed.
- Harriers: Messengers tasked with running communications between dig parties and the surface.
- Egineers:The people tasked with creating hide-outs in new tunnels, and coming to the rescue of dig teams when there are cave-ins, or other natural disasters.
- Pestlers: The people who grind larger pieces of rock into sand.

- They have their own sports teams, temple and bands.
- Nearby villages have specific folklore regarding what happens inside the tunnels and what types of creatures live there, but the miners never speak of their experiences.
