Green Goliath

In 2013, a series of high profile eco-terrorist attacks near Edge City were attributed to a person or group of persons who called themselves Green Goliath. Over the course of five years, pollutant producing facilities were sabotaged. Oil pipelines, power plants, chemical refineries, and electronics manufacturers found their equipment disabled, product neutralized into base components, and goods nullified in mysterious ways. The hardest hit was a chemical company named RexPenCo, who was forced into bankruptcy due to the damage. Then, in 2015, the attacks ceased without notice.
While many groups claimed responsibility for the Goliath attacks, it is largely believed that they were incited by the Saunterville in 2011. No individual has ever been able to explain the methods used to effect such widespread havok on the technologies, nor has it been reproduced since.
