TK Heavy Twilight
In 2018 Takakura Heavy Industries created the Twilight Motorcycle, the first of its kind to be almost completely 3d printed from carbon nanofibers. The project was a vanity project of Mikel Takakura, who envisoned it as the first opensource printable vehicle for use in urban areas. The concept was to provide the plans to customers who could then build and modify the motorcycle as they saw fit, th effectively have the evolution of a design crowdsourced.
When Zaibatsu Tech seized control of TK Heavy, they succesfully litigated the plans back into the company's intellectual property, removing customer rights to continue use of them. Despite this, pirate networks still carry the plans.
The design, though revolutionary at the time, did not age well and is considered antique by most modern enthusiasts. The bikes are seen here and there in affiado collections, but is considered street illegal due to the nature of the Zaibatsu claim.
