Rhaymeus, The Dark Judge

"First God of Justice and first of the fallen among the gods, slain by his older brother, Empyereus God of Zeal when he became corrupted from chaos. But where does a God go when they perish? especially one who was so dedicated to extracting justice..."

Divine Domains

In life Rhaymeus ruled over the domains of Justice, but after his slaying this was transferred to Nortoro.   A few secretive zealots believe that Rhaymeus was reborn and redeemed after his slaying and became The Dark Judge, a shadow of justice that punishes evil where the arm of law cannot reach.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

In his life his sigil was that of the golden scale of justice, after his slaying this sigil was taken by Nortoro with the adjustment of the scale being patched by silver, in reference to Rhaymeus fall and corruption and Nortoro fixing the broken role.   Zealots of the Dark Judge now raise the flag of broken scale in the form of a dagger, the missing and replaced half of his original sigil.

Tenets Of Faith

Light work in Shadow. Maintain a secretive and stoic mannerisms when hunting sinners.   Death to Corruption. Arcane is sin, Sin is Corruption, Corruption is death and Death is redemption.   By any means. There is no price too great if it means purging corruption.   The Faith is Family. Your fellow faithfuls are your true family, and you never betray family even if it means fighting your own blood.

History

Ever since Creations End, The Powers of Law have been at odds to the Fiends of Chaos fighting among the cosmos. Empyereus and Rhaymeus were Laws greatest Champions, hunting down and slaying fiends where ever they could be found. At some point, Rhaymeus stumbled on a wounded fiend who offered the god the means to slay vast amounts of her own kind, to Rhaymeus a fiend's death is all that mattered, whether by blade or spell what would it matter?   The power taught to him magnified his abilities and many foes were slain. Depending on who you believe, its either Rhaymeus challenged Empyereus or Empyereus challenged Rhaymeus. Either way a grand duel took place with Empyereus the victor and Rhaymeus slain.   From here many agree this is the end of Rhaymeus, but for some faithfuls, they believe Rhaymeus was purged of corruption and was reborn as the shadow of justice, outside of the pantheon and capable of reaching evil doers who hide in fallible safety.
