Val'leha, Goddess of Heroism and Martyrdom

War is often viewed as a horrific and unavoidable event, that it has no redeeming qualities.  Followers of Val'leha know that this couldn't be further than the truth. War and conflict is the catalyst that builds and makes heroes, evil will always exist but true warriors and martyrs will always be there to stop it.  

Domains

  Val'leha oversees the domains of War, Battle, Heroes and Martyrdom. Additionally to she is accredited to the aspect of loyalty.   Warriors, Knights, Clerics Domains of War and Paladins Oath of Glory see Val'leha as their lead God among the pantheon.  

Divine Symbols & Sigils

  Often times the symbol of a wounded warrior with three arrows plunged into its back is used to identify followers of of Val'leha.   Though a more simpler icon is that of a chipped sword with arrows crossing in the background.  

Tenets Of Faith

  Actions over Words. Strive to be known by glorious deeds, not words.   First In, Last Out. You must lead in the choices you make, and remain until the work is done.   Challenges Are but Tests. Face hardships with courage, and encourage your allies to face them with you.   Hone the Body. Like raw stone, your body must be worked so its potential can be realized.   Discipline the Soul. You must marshal the discipline to overcome failings within yourself that threaten to dim the glory of you and your friends.  

History

  It is said that often times Val'leha is said to possess warriors on the battlefield, the first recorded instance of this occurred during the Battle of Koris Bridge when the armies of Gylbard The Righteous were forced to retreat from an ambush by Nolkor The Punished.   From first hand accounts, Gylbard held back the Nolkor's forces alone to buy his army time to retreat.  With Val'leha's blessing he was able to not only hold back the tide of foes but dealt so much damage to their forces they were forced to retreat.
