Merfolk

Merfolk are an aquatic species of humanoids with the upper bodies, heads, and arms of a traditional humanoid and a lower body resembling the tail of a fish. Due to their inability to travel unassisted on land, merfolk generally remain in waterways and the oceans, interacting only rarely with surface dwellers.
