Neverwinter Assocation of Orcs

The Neverwinter Association of Orcs, or NAO,  was a political action group based in Neverwinter in the late 1400's in response to the growing discrimination faced by the Orcish population of the city by the Neverwinter Guard and other Neverens.
In late 1496, the murder of then NAO leader Lagakh Stonescar lead to a weeks-long protest that descended into riots and violence, worsened by the influence of the aboleth S'gothgah using the mind-dominating power of the Banesmark to sow fear and division.
Though conciliatory gesures were made following the Neveren Orc Riots, many of the underlying causes of discrimination were not addressed, and the NAO remains a politically active force in Neverwinter.
