Azuredge

Azuredge is a sentient battle-axe of legendary renown, said to have been forged by Ahghairon himself, and has received many enchantments by other notable mages including Khelben Arunsun. The Axe champions the defence of the city, and has fought many times, wielded by many great Waterdhavian heroes. 
Currently the Axe is weilded by Meloon Wardragon of Force Grey, however since his death and replacement with an Intellect Devourer, "Meloon" has not been able to fully use the Axe. When the time came that the creature in Meloon's body attempted to do evil with the blade, Azuredge leapt from his hands, and bequeathed any good soul to wield it in defence of Waterdeep and to eradicate this evil creature. The good soul that took this task was Tank, and although not a human, the Axe allowed itself to become the weapon of "truely a good boy".
