Battle for Chillmaw - 301 PS

Starting at the end of the 5th month of 301 PS, there was open conflict in Chillmaw.   Since the ruin of Chillmaw in 298 PS, The Chosen One had been protecting the area, However, in 301 PS when the Chosen One left The Imperium Alliance to form the Church of the Chosen One, the Imperium Alliance took in upon themselves to become the protectors of Chillmaw. But the Chosen One has declared that he and his church would be protecting the town.   During the 5th month of 301 PS. the Church of the Chosen One and The Imperium Alliance Brigade moved combatants into Chillmaw and the surrounding area.

The Conflict

Deployment

The Imperium Alliance Brigade are made up of trained adventurers and mercenaries. They are a mix of martial and magically trained individuals. The Imperium Alliance was supposed to show up, however the squad and their leader (Ingra Macintyre) disappeared before getting to Dalhurst.   The Church of the Chosen One is made up of a trained militia, recruited mercenaries, and priests. All members fervently worship the Chosen One, to the point they fight zealously to their last breath.   Barbarians from the Frozen Wastes have also been scouting the town and are actively looting bodies and getting involved in the conflict.   An adventuring party (Group One - TBC) has also stumbled into town, getting caught in the middle of the conflict.

Battlefield

The ruins of Chillmaw are just that: ruins. Several of the buildings are intact enough to provide shelter. The rest of the buildings are collapsed shells that can provide cover from ranged attacks. North of the town is a keep that, as at 301 PS, had been restored, most likely by the Church of the Chosen One.   Around the ruins of the town are fields and low hills covered in snow.
