Kinetic Powered Upgrade
An upgrade to nonmagical weapons designed by Dimble Timbers of the Timbers Tinkering Company in Gearworth.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The upgrade is powered via basic arcane crystals. The crystals are connected to an electrocution unit via copper wires. The electrocution unit attaches to the ammunition, blade, tip, or head of the weapon.
When using an upgraded weapon, on a successful hit the user may spend a charge to add an additional 1d6 Lightning damage to the attack. The base upgrade has one charge that resets 24 hours after it is expended.
The design is not perfect however, and it is not known what happens when the upgrade fails.
It is thought with experimentation and further arcane crystals that the upgrade can be given further charges. No one has yet to be brave enough to attempt this... yet.
