Gearworth
Originally a human settlement with a large population of Gnomes. Over time as the Gnome population grew they went to work creating technology for Amberlight, however knowledge of what this technology was has been lost to the divine after effects of The Scouring. Since the end of the Scouring, a large number of Gnomes from Tinkertown have settled it here, turning it into a major factory town.
Demographics
70% Gnome, 20% Human, 5% Dwarf, 5% Other
Government
The town is run by a council of elders with a representative from Cindergate.
Infrastructure
Since the Scouring the town has been rebuilt with a plan. Wide well-paved roads separate the various areas of the city to help reduce cross-pollution. A simple yet efficient sewer and waste water system exists beneath the city. And residential areas are placed in close proximity to where the inhabitants work.
Guilds and Factions
Imperium Licensed Tinkerers Guild
Currently the only tinkerers guild officially employed by the Oriana Imperium. They produce weapons and other contraptions for the Oriana military as well as guards across the towns and cities. Their weapons are of a quality that they can compete with the weapons built in Insomnia (home of the modern firearm). The guild also builds toys, complex mechanisms for both children and adults. A lot of these toys display national pride for the Imperium. Gearworth Electricians Guild
One of the newer guilds of Gearworth. The Gnomes in this guild are known for experimenting with the use of electricity with various degrees of success. The best work they have done is their contribution toward the Oriana Express, the officially train line that covers the Imperium from North to South. Steam-Masters Guild
The biggest guild in Gearworth. They focus mostly on plumbing, but that includes work into steam powered machinery. They also produce pneumatic mail delivery systems used within Ravenmore, Cindergate, and within Gearworth.
