He is a brilliant scientist in his own right, and heads up much of research & development on new projects. He has an antiquated sense of fashion, preferring tuxedos and bowties in the style of mid-20th AD America from the history of the Terran capitol. When he is working in the lab, he will don a similarly antiquated ‘lab coat’ over his formalwear, unless an HEV is required. There are rumors that he is either taking anagathics or using advanced cybernetic augments to counteract the effects of aging. By all rights, Eldon Tyrell should be past his prime. Although he is elderly in appearance, he remains physically spry and keen minded despite his advanced years.
