A demonic beast that roams the grasslands of the Demon Realm.
Basic Information
Anatomy
A quadrupedal mammal with digitigrade paws as front legs and unguligrade hooved back legs. They have four eyes, tined antlers, and a mane of long fur that runs down their neck and circles their shoulders. They have elk-like heads with canid mouths and ears, as well as a furry tail.

Males tend to be 2ft bigger than females.
Genetics and Reproduction
Hornhounds reproduce sexually with a gestation period of about one year. They typically give birth to litters of 3-5 pups.
Growth Rate & Stages
Hornhounds reach adult height in 5 years, and sexual maturity at 25 years.
Ecology and Habitats
Hornhounds range expansive grasslands, and can congregate into groups of around one hundred individuals.
Dietary Needs and Habits
While hornhounds get most of their daily nutrients from grazing, they are omnivores and usually supplement their diet with meat once a month and any other plant life they can hunt once a week.

Social Structure
Hornhounds live in family groups of one male to 2-5 females. They usually congregate with other family groups for safety, but often have fights for dominence.
Domestication
Hornhounds are the main mounts used by Demons. The domesticated variety tend to be less aggressive than their wild counterparts.

Hornhounds have an excellent sense of smell and acute hearing.
