The holder of the name uses Pym Particles to change size, and can control ants via the Ant-Man Suit.

The name was first used as Hank Pym's designation while working for S.H.I.E.L.D, though as he retained all rights to his Pym Particles it was Pym rather than SHIELD who gave the name to Scott Lang.
