Chitauri Energy Core

Energy Cores are the power source used by Chitauri gliders and energy weapons.

After the Chitauri Invasion a large amount of Chitauri technology was left on Earth, and a substantial black market in alien technology appeared, including Chitauri energy cores. One of the main groups selling this alien technology was Adrian Toomes's salvage crew.

As well as selling the cores, Phineas Mason used them to construct tools and weapons for the crew, including the Vulture Exo-Suit 

Removed from their housing, the cores were unstable and highly dangerous. Owning Energy Cores is illegal under the Trade of Extraterestrial Artefacts act. Citizens have a legal obligation to notify the Department of Damage Control if they find any Chitauri technology.
