JARVium

JARVium (an acronym standing for Just A Really Very Interesting and Unusual Metal) is a metallic element first theorised by Howard Stark. Due to technological limitations, it was only synthesised for the first time fourty years later by Stark's son, Tony Stark.

Its primary use is in powering Arc Reactors, replacing Palladium. This switch was made both because of JARVium's longer half-life, and because it is less toxic.

Origin & Source

JARVium is an entirely synthesised element, meaning it is not naturally occurring on Earth, although some have theorised that the element N'kan, which is known only from Spartax archeological sites, may be JARVium. However, due to the rarity of the element, and the inaccessibility of the former Spartax empire's planets, a direct comparison has not yet been done.
