Kawa

Kawa is a planet in the Bawa Kawa system, and home to the Kawa species.

In 1989, the planet was targetted by Thanos, who slaughtered 50% of the population in the Kawan Genocide.

The Genocide lead to the rise of a theocracy, who believed that Thanos had been sent by their god as punishment for their sins, and cultivated a fanatical following, eventually resulting in a coup d'Etat, overthrowing the existing government in favour of totalitarian religious rule.
