Skrullos
Skrullos was a planet in the Drox System of the Andromeda Galaxy. It was the homeworld of the Skrulls, and the original throneworld of the Skrull Empire.
After the decision was made to change the throneworld to Tarnax IV, Skrullos became politically unimportant, and eventually, the planet was largely anbandonned.
It regained some importance when Emperor Dorek VII exiled Princess Veranke to the planet after she made a prophesy that the throneworld would fall. Veranke was a Priestess of Dard'van, an extremist wing of the Skrull religion, and she began to preach the spiritual importance of Skrullos as the homeworld of the Skrull gods, Kly'bn and Sl'gur't. As a result, a community of believers formers around Veranke, and quickly grew from a handful of disciples to a large community, with traders and merchants moving to the planet to cater to the growing numbers of pilgrims.
This community increased further when Tarnax IV was destroyed by Galactus, as it was widely seen as proof of Veranke's prophetic abilities. Although the throneworld was officially moved to Satriani, Skrullos was widely regarded as equal in political importance.
Due to its religious significance, Skrullos became a target during the reignition of the Kree-Skrull War. It was eventually destroyed completely by the Kree
The planet was destroyed by the Kree Empire during the Kree-Skrull War, killing thousands of Skrulls and forcing the remaining survivors to hide among the populations of other planets using their shapeshifting abilities.
