Utolan

Utolan is one of the oldest surviving Inhuman settlements.

The Utolanians live in almost complete seclusion, allowing only other Inhumans to enter their city. Utolan is located high in the Chimanimani Mountains of Mozambique, in an area deliberately chosen for its inaccessability.

Demography and Population

Utolan is widely considered by anthopologists to be the closest in its culture and language to the original Inhuman population, as the Orollanians have close ties to neighbouring human communities, and the Attilanians have ties to the other Universal Inhuman species.

However, this claim is disputed by some who point out that the vast majority of Utolan's population are dark skinned, resembling humans from the area. While dark skinned people are found throughout Inhuman populations, the higher occurance among the Utolanian population compared to Attilan may suggest that intermarriage with local humans may have been practised at some time in the city's past.

Agriculture & Industry

Utolan is almost completely self sustaining, using solar and wind power, underground aquifers for fresh-water, and farming techniques believed to have been learned from the Kree, similar to modern hydroponic gardening.
