Bruce's research at the University of Ibadan leads him to conclude there is only one person who might be able to help him: Samuel Sterns, an expert in biological mutation and widely regarded as something of a crank in scientific circles for his fringe theories about the nature of Erskine's Super-Soldier Serum.
He therefore begins forming plans to return to North America.
