After regaining control of the body and remembering the deaths that had occured at the BTFEP lab, and learning that he had been declared a terrorist, Bruce returned to Willowdale to meet with Thunderbolt Ross, hoping that it had been a misunderstanding.
However he quickly realised that Ross considered him the property of the US Army and wished to use the serum in his blood to create more Gamma Mutates.
Bruce was able to escape and hide in a janitor's closet in the building until Joe Fixit was able to get them out of Willowdale.
