Clint Barton discovers that his mentor, Jacques Dunesque, has been embezzeling money from the Carnival. When he goes to report it to the owner, Dunesque beats him and leaves him for dead. His brother Barney Barton witnesses the attack, but choses not to intervene, leaving town with the Carnival the next day.
