The newly mutated Hulk, terrified and disorientated, tries to escape the radiation laboratory, accidentally injuring Betty Ross and several of the researchers in the process. When General Ross orders the staff to prevent him from leaving, Hulk attacks the people standing in his way, breaking Ross's arm and killing three people, two scientists and a soldier.
One of the machines he had damaged explodes, starting a fire, and Hulk is able to escape in the confusion.
