Alpha 79 “Flintlock” Plasma Pistol

The predecessor of the Clear Negotiator was the standard issue sidearm for the Trident Coalition Armed Forces for almost two centuries until it the Powers That Be decided that the soldiers needed a weapon that they didn’t have to reload after each shot, so the Negotiator was created to replace it.

It’s a plasma pistol, but quickly got the nickname “Flintlock” because it resembled the obsolete projectile weapon and also because one shot drained the power pack, making it a single shot weapon. And, just like the ancient projectile weapon, it was only effective at close range.
