Starting a New Path Forward

A few new faces appear. A new Session 0.

Plot points/Scenes

The new players are introduced and a Session 0 is done. The following should be covered:          
  • It's a Dark Fantasy game first & foremost. Mostly tone.
  • Combat exists but isn't the be all & end all.Mostly in tone / nature.
  • Majority of times more than one way to solve a problem. Brains equaly important as brawn.
  • No edgy / that guy / murder hobo / power playing / rules lawyering shit. Not tolerated.
  • Try to avoid inappropriate jokes or comments (guilty of it myself). Not saying that it could happen.
  • We're adults, any problems we can sort out, keep a level head where possible.
  • Any problems take to another player or myself.
  • Try to use mic as much as possible. Can slow the game down relying on text.
 
  • No PVP unless it is for something in thesession.
  • No Death Saves. Hit zero HP your dead.
  • Mistakes & situational bending of rules can & will happen (any problems can be chased up afterwards).
  • Keep the session flowing so take a chill pill & no arguing during the session.
  • DM's ruling is final. Move on and don't worry.
  • Nobody's perfect, it's a game why sweat it.
  As for that players can ask questions and bring up anything here.   Afterwards, introduce the characters.

  • Whatever the names of Pretmaker's, Destiny's & Moo's characters are.
  Pret's Kenku & Magnar already in the area - likely in the Eshbach Shields - and the rest make them in. Pret is carrying out fire magic tricks with the firepit and getting both odd looks & Baldwin the innkeeper telling him to keep it down. Magnar likely with Anselma, and they meet the Kenku before the Burgeaters & either with Mikhael or Erdis leading them. They are to keep it down and the fire tricks may accidentaly hit Magnar.   Rukkamail is there looking a lead to an artefact. He has found a lead to an ancient flute made of human bone that is rumoured to have passed through Eschbach. It came from the northwest of the Abassid Caliphate & supposedly when pkayed will produce the most beautiful music ever. It is sitting within the Burgeaters barracks when the caravan taking it up to the Crown Court was destroyed by Saxon raiders. The Burgeaters can supply him with it if a surcharge for handling undeclared goods is paid. He will likely run into the others in the tavern or the barracks if the Kenku is brought in to be fined for causing a disturbancein the tavern.   Jessie is around and likely with the others, at least with Magnar & Anselma.   Moo may be there because hey've heard of the trade going through and this includes magic scrolls & grimoires. Alsdo, with the ley line point, and the magic users in the region would attract them too.   Destiny is passing through for similar reasons. He has heard of the vibrant & somewhat crazy town of Eschbach in the lands near the borders of the Frankish empire. Maybe he can make a difference or a fortune depending on what he wants. Staying at the Eschbach Shields he meets the others.   They may get called up as a group to the Council & told to stay in line or if looking employment, they are to work for the town or follow local laws at the very least. All but Magnar is warned that breaking the law here would result in swift brutal retaliation. This would come from the Burgeaters or the leaders of the town.
