Personal history

The loudest, most defiant member of the team, Evie has always been fiercely protective of their fellows. When they were a child, their powers were the last to blossom: barely more than a basic level of telepathy. It was feared they may end up useless to the Controller, until the day their half-sister Angela was killed at his command. Something wild and vicious unlocked in their mind that day, violently triggering their powers and leaving them weak and shaken for days afterwards.
Over time they learned to draw to cope with the nightmares and phobias they often pick up from using their power. They hold a deep resentment to the Controller for both their powers and the death of their sister, still acting with defiance to this day despite the heavy punishments they receive for it.
SPOILERS FOR RECKLESS TRUTH

Upon discovering the Controller had created a new generation of soldiers from the reproductive organs he harvested from the squad, Evie managed to find out that they had a son, Mist. They visited him frequently when they could, making sure he knew they were there even if they couldn't be with him forever. When the Controller resolved to recruit Mist, they were relieved to discover the Moores trying to save him; the safety of their son becoming a main motivation for their eventual betrayal of and freedom from the Facility.
