Boss Troll

"From the journal of Elian Wyrmwood, Ranger of the Northern Reaches: 'As we ventured deeper into the forest, the air grew thick with a putrid scent. We stumbled upon what seemed to be the remains of a troll’s meal, bones gnawed clean and scattered about. It wasn’t until nightfall that we heard the guttural roar, a sound that chilled us to our very bones. Emerging from the shadows, a towering figure, eyes gleaming with malevolent intelligence, stood before us. The Boss Troll, as the villagers called it, was a creature of nightmares. Its hide was tough as stone, and even as we struck, we could see its wounds knitting together. Only through fire and sheer determination did we manage to escape with our lives, leaving behind a trail of blood and broken arrows.'"

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Boss Trolls typically inhabit the deepest and darkest parts of forests, swamps, and mountainous caves. They prefer areas with ample cover and access to resources like water and game. These formidable creatures often establish their lairs in naturally fortified locations, such as the heart of a dense thicket or within a network of caverns. These lairs are usually marked by the remnants of their hunts and the stench of decay, serving as a warning to any who might wander too close.

Behaviour

Boss Trolls are cunning and ruthless leaders, commanding lesser trolls and other creatures within their domain. Despite their brutish appearance, Boss Trolls are strategic in their approach to conflict, often using their environment to their advantage. They are fiercely territorial and will defend their lairs with relentless ferocity, using their immense strength and regenerative abilities to overpower intruders.
