Personal history

Luminthrax grew up in the heart of Aetheria, surrounded by the grandeur of magical academies and arcane wonders. He exhibited a natural affinity for magic, particularly in the manipulation of elemental forces. His talent did not go unnoticed, and soon he was accepted into one of Aetheria’s most prestigious magical institutions. There, he excelled in his studies, quickly mastering spells that would take others years to understand. Luminthrax envisioned a bright future for himself, one where he would rise to become a powerful and respected wizard, perhaps even a council member of Aetheria one day.
When he was chosen to apprentice under the legendary Seraphaxos, Luminthrax was ecstatic. He had heard tales of Seraphaxos’s unmatched knowledge, his role in Aetheria’s strategic victories, and his profound influence in the magical community. However, his excitement quickly faded as he realized the reality of his situation. Seraphaxos, while undeniably brilliant, was harsh, impatient, and dismissive of those he deemed beneath him—including his new apprentice. To make matters worse, Luminthrax’s first major assignment under Seraphaxos was not in the dazzling courts of Aetheria but in a remote, backwater kingdom called River's Edge.
Frustrated by the isolation of the town and his master’s constant belittling, Luminthrax found himself questioning his place in the world. River’s Edge seemed unworthy of his talents, a dull town with no obvious magical significance, and Seraphaxos’s behavior only worsened as the weeks dragged on. Despite this, Luminthrax remains hopeful that his time in River’s Edge will lead to something greater. He feels as though there is more to this town than meets the eye, though he doesn’t yet know what. He is determined to prove himself, not just to Seraphaxos, but to all of Aetheria, though his loyalty to his master is starting to wane in the face of constant abuse.
Though Luminthrax still respects the sheer power and knowledge that Seraphaxos wields, he often dreams of breaking free from the old wizard’s shadow and forging his own path. For now, he endures, quietly observing the town’s dynamics while perfecting his magical abilities in the hopes that when the opportunity arises, he will be ready to seize it.
