Session 2 - Gray Area

General Summary

After a well-deserved rest from their previous battle, the group is abruptly awakened by a thunderous explosion. Rushing towards the source, they encounter two new contestants—Tobias, a skilled inventor, and Cedric, a wizard. The group aids Tobias, tending to his wounds, before pressing forward.
Navigating the labyrinthine dungeon, they face Bloodseekers and a treacherous Mimic posing as a treasure chest. The victorious battle results in the discovery of magical items and the liberation of their enchanted cuffs. Intriguingly, they encounter an infernal servant overseeing the first floor, presenting them with a choice: face the floor boss for a grand treasure or confront a group of weaker enemies to advance.
As they ponder their decision, four additional contestants emerge—Thrain, Selene, Dendro, and Leota. The group divides, with Thrain and Selene opting for the challenging path to confront the floor boss, while Dendro and Leota, along with Weston, choose the seemingly easier route.
An intense battle unfolds with a formidable Lich, pushing the group to their limits. In a heroic sacrifice, Thrain destroys the lich's phylactery, ensuring their victory but at the cost of his own life. The group awakens on the next floor, greeted by Seilenos, a lively Satyr. Seilenos reveals the floor's tragic secret—kidnapped fey from the Feywild imprisoned in the library.
The group learns the fey are strict about rules and the importance of seeking permission before opening doors. They rescue a living Shadow, gaining insight into fey etiquette. A Tooth Fairy tricks Enigma into losing a tooth, and a redcap convinces Darius to don cursed boots. The group aids Earlindor in burying the remains of long-dead soldiers.
Solving a riddle, they encounter a weeping Dryad mourning trees sacrificed for books. In a solemn moment, they help the dryad lay her fallen friends to rest, delving deeper into the mysteries of the enchanted library. The group's journey in the Library of Enchanted Pages promises more challenges and revelations as they navigate the intricate layers of this magical realm.
