Amarley
A small village along the coastal road with close connections to the capital.
Government
Amarley is ruled by a vassal lord of the king himself. In this case, this role has fallen unusually enough upon a very unusual Firbolg. The lord of the village has been rumored to have another mission on top of simply governing the village, but no one knows what this might be. At his disposal, he has a contingent of Folksguard, who police the village and keep order.
Assets
The village mostly lives off of agriculture and hunting, due to its proximity to the forest. Much of its produce is then sold to the capital, where it is either consumed or further distributed throughout its many trade routes. Amarley is also an important station where travellers who make their way along the main coastal road can rest and restock.
There are also a number of shops and establishments in the village where produce and trading goods can be bought.
Beatryczes Leather Goods: The shop is a two-story timber and brick building, with several stained glass windows. A cart filled with leather scraps rests beside the building. The shopkeeper is a heavyset female human named Beatrycze. She is suspiciously inquisitive.
The Travelers Friend: The shop is a two-story half-timbered building, with a smooth stone floor. It is dimly lit by a few candles and fairly shabby. The shopkeeper is a tall male human named Piersym Ginte. He insists on inspecting every coin paid to him.
Klaras Smithy: The shop is a single-story half-timbered building, with dwarf-wrought iron furnishings. The shopkeeper is a thoughtful female dwarf named Klara Greybelt. She was once an adventurer but retired after defeating Ulfang the Black. (A young adventurer is trying to sell a few items.)
The Raging Bull: The inn is a single-story building of half-timbered walls, with a smooth stone floor. Accommodations consist of several large rooms with beds and straw mattresses and wooden cots near the hearth. A small stable behind the inn has room for a few horses. The innkeeper is a young male minotaur named Marion. He was cursed by a vagabond witch, and cannot see coins.
Reeces Herbalism Hut: The shop is a single-story stone-walled building, with tall elf-wrought wooden shelves. It is brightly lit by magical candles and chandeliers. The shopkeeper is a tall male gnome named Reece. He has a young daughter who idolizes adventurers.
The Playful Oven: The shop is a two-story half-timbered building, with several leaded glass windows. The air is filled with motes of golden light. The shopkeeper is a practical male halfling named Come. He celebrates each sale with a goblet of wine.
The Running Needle: The shop is a single-story timber and brick building, with carved wooden doors. The walls are engraved with runes of power and sorcery. The shopkeeper is a humble female elf named Deorgria. She only accepts payment in silver coins.
