Session 1: Common Intrests

General Summary

Following a tip that a close family friend holding information on the whereabouts of his parents has settled in the small village of Amarley the minotaur Dormaruk Stonehoof has made his way north and inland from the capital of Zarastil. Along with him was a zimean landsknecht named Frances Graf, who had overheard him talking about the mystery in Frankonia and decided to follow.    When they arrived in Amarley they immediately headed into the tavern of the minotaur named Marion. Well inside they found not only the old minotaur, but also a goliath artificer named Kazagal Headsmasher, an excentric sorcerer called Nakor the Blue Rider, and the local thief named Eugene Slateoak.    Dormaruk has barely had time to catch up with the happy Marion before the drinking is interrupted by a sudden attack. Following the screaming and fighting outside they found a large group of goblins and an ogre lead by two bugbears. The group manages to kill all but the ogre and an especially magical bugbear. During the fight, they managed to cleave, impale and crush all of the goblins, and Nakor managed to shrink himself seven inches.   After following the tracks of the ogre they found that it had broken into the tailor's shop, and supposedly taken the tailor with him. The same tailor that according to Marion would have information for Dormaruk. Upon following the tracks to the outskirts of the village they head back to the tavern once more.    There the group is visited by the captain of the local guards, after some friendly bonding, which led to Dormaruk carrying Nakor by the scruff of his neck for the rest of the day. The dwarven captain asks the group if they could perhaps go take it upon themselves to go find the missing tailor, and offered them a hefty compensation for their trouble. The group eventually agrees and on Frances's behest signs a contract detailing their mission.    Before leaving the group visits the local smith where Nakor wanted to sell one of the bugbears' morningstar and follows Eugene to the shop called Klaras' Smithy. Well there, Kazagal finds himself in somewhat of a flirtatious conversation with the proprietor Klara Greypelt.    Afterwards the group finally heads out of the western gate and after receiving a warning of owlbears in the forest they head out and in the woods to the west where they were met by a sign with a strange symbol.
