Following the Ballet of Scales, the men of Fyre began a war to take control of their lands and cleanse them of all non-humans. The kingdom was renamed as well as their king who now ruled the lands with an iron-grip.
Before Fyre existed, the area was ruled by the mighty dragons. But like the other races who were slaves to the scaly beasts, the humans wanted freedom. And one man, Gustav Decke, managed to find the legendary Forn-flame. With its power in his possession he traveled as far as he could, inspiring his fellow humans to fight. They did, and also started to cooperate with other races and groups of humans. Together, and with the help of Bahamut and his metallic children, they managed to push back the dragons. And so the land was theirs. Or was it? See, with the continent of Borrovy claimed, the question was who would rule it? The humans had barely tolerated the dwarves and elves in order to defeat the dragons, but that threat was now gone. Man should rule the land, and Decke was no exception to these feelings. He met with the other human-leaders in secret and together they planned to throw out the other races. So began war again. And the humans were victorious, in no small part due to Decke and his Forn-flame. The elves were forced to flee east and west, and the dwarves reverted to the mountains up north. The continent was split among the now first Kings of Man, one of which were Decke. He named his kingdom Fyre and soon thereafter dropped the name of Gustav Decke, naming himself Fyre as well, believing that a king exists only for his kingdom.
