Brigadier Henry Carlo Esposito, DSM, MM, OBC, (a.k.a. Harry)

Brigadier Henry Esposito, Commanding Officer, 1^st Solent Tank (Superheavy) Regiment (The Anvils), is, at 62, quite an old man for a regimental commander. Most of his peers have cushy staff roles with one of 12 standing Combined Arms Armies spread out across the Commonwealth's borders. And until a year ago that was Esposito; the S-2 for 6^th CAA stationed out towards the Pan-European Conglomerate.
For now, though, Esposito has been requested by Macgregor to forge a new tank regiment out of the Solent intake. His job has been made easier by tracking down some of his old commanders and staff, now battalion+ grade officers, from his time in the Royal Cavalry Regiment, with whom he had served for 20 years, before his promotion to divisonal staff as a Colonel and then Army Staff as a Brigadier.

Personal history

Born on the planet of Malta, in 2920, his early life was a relative struggle. His parents were poor migrant workers, who were drifting through the cosmos, bouncing from froniter planet to froniter planet, before always ending back at Malta. A relatively temperate planet, the Esposito's finally settled down as a village woodworker and a seamstress when Harry was 5. Their wealth didn't improve much, but they made themselves a comfy home near the town of New Valletta, where they raised Henry, Alessandro and Bernadetta.
Harry wasn't the most studious teenager ever, but he found himself to be incredibly handy at fixing mechnical devices,and so he made money for the family by fixing all sort of mechnicals, including cars, basic planes, trains and tractors. When he hit his 17th birthday he made his way to New Valletta and booked a passage to the planet of New Alexandria, where he set up his own auto-shop, which thrived until the winter of 2941, when a highly virulent version of Marburg haemorraghic virus swept through the Eygptian Planets. He survived this, but almost 40% of the population of the colonies hadn't, requiring massive federal intervention, including funds for survivors retraining.
Now 21, Harry joined the Army as an officer cadet, with funds from the federal government to support him through the three years of university, in which he studied Engineering. Upon completion, rather than joining the local REME regiment, Harry joined the local battalion of the Royal Cavalry regiment, the 8th and became a heavy tank commander.
