The Darkroot, God of Evil and Betrayal
(a.k.a. The Trusteater)
The Darkroot was created at the aghast horror of the other First Chosen. The God of Evil and Betrayal made no sense to be a force brought in to the world willingly. But as with all things, the Proteans saw all things in a duality. The need for this representation was necessary.
The Mantel of The Darkroot is a small Protean artifact in the from of a push-dagger.
