Fate

Follow your destiny

Fate is a serious, focused God with a unique grasp on reading futures in the Timeline, as well as gifted with seeing how connecting events lead to one or another. Ever dutiful, she offered her skills to Death to keep him informed of where the Universe was headed at any given time, who was quick to take her up on it because he certainly didn't have the time or desire to babysit the future, too.   Over time, she found that with a little nudging and a little magic, she could make natural connections more likely to, well, connect, and what could be a more natural connection than parents to children? She worked doggedly to figure out how to do it across the entire Timeline, and when she told Death that her system might be able to bring the Eldest back eventually, he let her blanket the future with it. It took nearly everything she had to do it properly, and since she flung her magic into different times to scaffold the spell, she found herself permanently magically crippled, with access only to residual stores of power. This unintended side effect doesn't bother her much, though. She can still read the future, and that's all she really cares about.   It affected the Soulbound in a powerful way, obviously, but the trouble really started when Light Lock keys started showing up in places the Gods hadn't left them. Fate realized too late that keys and locks were also a natural connection, but she still believed in her system to do what they ultimately wanted in the first place. Instead, she roped her twin, Chaos, into developing a counterbalancing system that would nullify Fate's wherever Chaos' influence was active, randomizing events in the Universe and breaking connections once more. The keys' locations stabilized, and it seemed like the Gods would have the best of both worlds.   It's unfortunate, then, that Fate suddenly vanished in the recent past. Chaos insists she's still alive, because Fate's system hasn't crumbled, but her siblings are still searching for the missing God.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Her greatest accomplishment could arguably be the biggest achievement for the Gods, if her system works to bring the Eldest back.

Failures & Embarrassments

She still doesn't understand why her magic is permanently hindered, but she doesn't waste too much time trying to figure it out.

The only God to develop a system intended to directly help the Gods rather than the Soulbound, Fate has a burning drive to bring the Eldest back. It's suspected she isn't as adept at ignoring the compulsions that come from their absence.

Likes & Dislikes

Loves Chaos and quiet areas of the Universe to sort through futures, but never liked actually changing the future's course and eventually stopped meddling altogether.

Vices & Personality flaws

Insular, no sense of humor
