Welcome to The Unknown

Are you ready to DIE?!

Welcome.  Be ready to make a new character every time you screw up.  Life is hard here in the Unknown.  Predators are everywhere, open ground is dangerous and the humanoid species are not nearly the top of the food-chain.  Good Luck, you're soon to be upchuck.

The 5 Things You Need to Know:

There are five things you need to know when you set out to venture (cue music) "...Into the Unknown!" and the first is this list right below this paragraph. Past that are the other four. Refer back to this list whenever you wonder is some action might be stupid.

  1. Everything is dangerous.
  2. This is an unknown setting. Expect problems.
  3. You KNOW jack-squat about diddly. See above for why.
  4. If it sees you, it probably wants to eat you.
  5. Things are definitely not what they seem.

About the World

This world operates by its own rules. You don't know them. Don't assume you do. Information will be imparted solely by World-Anvil. It's your very own pokedex. I will continually update articles, so reread often. Stay up to date, I will not be lecturing anyone about this world. If I thought of it, and your character discovered it, it will be available. If not, check back later.

About Your Character

Know your Species. Read the Article. Then read the Ethnicity article that applies to you. Read the Profession article for your Career. Do your work and know the skills and talents available. If it is not listed, ask. But check first because if I put it up on WorldAnvil, I won't answer.

About The System

Some skills have been renamed to fit better in the setting. In this linked article is a full skills list. Skills are divided into the Genesys baseline's General/Combat/Social groups, but two additional groups have been identified within the World - Specialty and Knowledge - and like the others this has no affect on cost. To avoid skill-bloat, some skills have been switched to be a new name based on the Era you play in.

About the GM

If I can kill you, I almost certainly will. We've played this before and I used kid-gloves. This round the gloves come off. I want to know what you can handle. I will ask questions and roll dice just to keep you on your toes. Be wary, I am testing you.
