The crew's mission was to travel to the Depths, an uncharted and treacherous part of the universe that was known to be filled with hazards and unknown threats. Their objective was to confirm reports of a massive alien invasion force that was said to be approaching the known galaxy, and to gather as much information about the invaders as possible.
As the ATS Truthseeker journeyed deeper into the Depths, it encountered a number of unexpected obstacles and dangers, including unstable wormholes, dangerous radiation levels, and unpredictable gravitational fields. The images sent back showed an armada of bulbous, organic alien ships, each one bristling with weapons and clearly designed for war.
However, despite the successful transmission of information, all contact with the ATS Truthseeker was lost shortly afterwards, and the ship and its crew were classified as missing in action. Rumors persist among some circles that the crew may have encountered the alien invaders and were taken captive, while others believe that they simply succumbed to the dangers of deep space travel and were lost forever in the vastness of the universe.
