Depths

The Depths are the collection of vast, unexplored planets outside of the human-centric sectors. These are often alien colonized, uncolonized, or even extra dimensional. The vast universe explored and controlled by Alien Lifeforms are all known as The Depths. Human travelers very rarely, if ever, return from the depths and these days only Krasians desperate to prove themselves and rise in status brave the almost certain death of The Depths. Some technology and even some positive contact has come out of explorations into the Depths, but the cost is too high for most people to ever risk it.
