Disciples of Rhoth

The Disciples of Rhoth, aka Church of the Red Sun, has been referred to as a Cult by many. Its disciples believe that Star: Aberteen Companion "Rhoth" is actually the transcended body of a higher species that obtained Godhood and rules over Aberteen. They are an offshoot of the Celestials, a religious organization that believes that all Stars are transcended beings who obtained Godhood.
They view the Star Forge as both the Temple and Seat of the Gods, akin to their Mount Olympus. They protest FreeST often and have a strong presence on the Star Forge. They believe that using the refinery is an affront to their god Rhoth and that he will bring judgement upon the FreeST miners for their atrocities of profiting from the radiance of their god in the seat of his temple.
FreeST representative Supervisor Thaddeus Garrett has officially stated “Humanity is crazy like that. We see something unique and rather than try to understand it, we seek to worship it. This cult is just a front used by rival corporations to try and undermine FreeST’s advantage in the materials business.”

Ever since the Disciple led riot/protest that turned into a massacre the Disciples have been openly hostile and subversive to FreeST. The days of peacefully protesting seem to have gone to the wayside to be replaced by Disciples openly mugging officers and sabotaging the station. Sanctions have been placed on the Temple of Rhoth to keep gatherings below 50 at a time.
