The Everwar

The Everwar is the eternal conflict for control over The Afterlife. Demons seek to disrupt the perfect balance kept by the Angels and Devils. Without the looming threat of the Hells' eternal suffering or Heavens' eternal blessing, it is feared that the mortal realm would simply cease to operate, with order collapsing into chaos. As such, neither partial of the Afterlife can fall to the Demons. To help ensure this, every megaannum, The Archangel and The Archdevil meet to discuss the war, and strategising for the next million years - so the legends say.
