Travel in the Veil
Travel in The Veil is widely considered to be dangerous and isn't commonplace beyond what is necessary for work e.g. traders travelling between settlements. Roads in the Veil are poorly maintained and numerous threats such as Goblins stalk these routes, seeking easy prey.
If travelling particularly fast, it is possible to move between any two of the main settlements (Garrigill, A'mondyll and Kinstead) within one (very long) day. As inns are generally few and far between, a more standard travel pace will often require at least one night of camping on the road - a particularly risky choice. Horses, carts and similar land vehicles are considered Class 2 Goods, an uncommon sight in the Veil.
Relocating once or twice in ones life wouldn't be unheard of, but most tend to live a full life within the settlement in which they were born.
When lost on the road, many turn to Herald, the God of Tavel, in the hopes that this mysterious figure will guide their footsteps on the path ahead.
