Rehn Palace

Rehn Palace could be considered the beating heart of the Welcome to the Virgo Cluster. The Grand Duke Sagan and his family, staff members, and trusted confidants make decisions that could impact the future of the cluster and it's inhabitants. A huge building, with several outbuildings, the Palace consists of working offices, rest and recreation facilities, and a repository of items and data denoting the history of the cluster and the Rehn family.
Despite the relative openness of the grounds, the main Palace building is only open to family, staff, and other direct invitees. The extensive grounds and historical artifacts are property of the family and serve to remind them of their heritage and their duty. The Rehns are a family of service and the Palace is a constant reminder of that duty.

Purpose / Function

Rehn Palace is the ancestral home Sagan, the nominal leader in the Welcome to the Virgo Cluster.

Alterations

By tradition, each new Grand Duke makes some addition to the Palace or the grounds surrounding it. Some have been as small as adding a small room in the unbuilt areas or adding a garden of some type of plant or flower not currently represented in the extensive grounds.

Architecture

The architecture is high tech and varied.

Defenses

A wing of small fighters, a regiment of elite ground troops, several wet naval ships, point defense against orbital attack, and several safe rooms comprise most of the safety measures. Advanced electronic warfare and even some body doubles are occasionally used.

Tourism

Tours of the exterior grounds are available to visitors, but access to any of the buildings is restricted to invited guests and staff of the family.
