Description

Stairs around the pit, leading down

On the far side of the pit, just out of reach, is a painting on waxed leather. It depicts a mound, in a swamp, on which sits a village. Around this mound village, emerging from the swamp, is a massive snake. Around the border of the painting is writing "A Throne for Morjana / A Throne for Estra / A Throne for Beothar and Seigen / But no place for Vitharr, whose land we entered / and so we receive his punishment with patience / Learning what he has to teach us"
