With Meedt taken back, Duchess Jopvi doesn't see a point in wasting her forces sparring with Duke Dun so she approaches him with a deal: they will marry, joining their hordes; they will retake Barony of Meedt and then take Barony of Loch. But, during discussions, the rescued Zagy takes this moment to seek revenge. The assassination attempt leads to Zagy's death and the further souring of relations between the two leaders.
