The western fields
The western fields is a group of communities on the western edge of the Duthal Empire. The forest’s here are unexplored, the unclimbed mountains to the west make travel by land further west difficult. The marshes of the east are a slog of mud and fog, filled with ancient burial sites and sunken ruins of long forgotten cities. The locals of the small farming towns are wary and superstitious. The ports that dot the coast are more of a stopover than a trade hub, agricultural products tend to be the only thing loaded onto ships here.
